Greg Mayfield’s practice has focused on various areas of general corporate and commercial transactional law, including real estate, finance, and banking. Mr. Mayfield is experienced in many types of complex transactions and arrangements, such as acquisitions, dispositions, financings, restructurings, and healthcare services. He has worked with clients as outside counsel, in-house general counsel, and consultant, and assisted them with a range of matters involving regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and the financial, operational, and strategic aspects of business initiatives. Mr. Mayfield’s previous experience includes serving as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of a regional financial institution. Before that, he practiced with a large international law firm in Atlanta. Prior to entering private practice, he served in a variety of senior positions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Mr. Mayfield received his undergraduate degree with a major in accounting from The University of Alabama. He earned the designation of Certified Public Accountant in the State of Alabama. Mr. Mayfield received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from The George Washington University Law School and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
